The Voragine salad/dessert plate 8" - Within the framework of the series “Atardece en Trópico” (“Tropical Sunset”), the studies I have titled “Vorágine” (“Maelstrom”) were born, in memory of and in relation to the novel by José Eustasio Rivera, which I read during childhood—a story of two lovers set between the plains and the Amazon jungle.
For some reason, I memorized the epilogue of the story, and it has lingered in my mind and within a few drawings over the years, taking on new forms and resurfacing in these recent studies.
